Isuzu dealer R W Crawford Ltd – better known as Crawfords – is using the reach of its regional depots to support local football clubs across Essex and Sussex.
Crawfords
is sponsoring Egerton Football Club in Kent, Woodham Radars Football Club in Essex, and Billinghurst Football Club in Sussex. Each club is a prime example of the passion and sportsmanship of non-league football, demonstrating the importance of community engagement within the sport.
The sponsorship of the teams will run initially for the upcoming season with plans to extend each partnership if successful. Crawfords has not only become the front-of-shirt sponsor for the teams but has also provided the teams with new kits. The partnership will also offer advertising pitch side banners and social media promotions which will be ongoing throughout the season.
Crawfords, established by Bob Crawford in 1980 as a farm machinery dealership in Essex, has since evolved into a much larger company consisting of four locations across the south of England. Crawfords has also expanded its range of products since opening, adopting the Isuzu franchise in 2014 with dedicated Isuzu staff members on multiple sites.
The Teams
Egerton FC
, also known as the Egerton Eagles, compete in the Ashford & District Sunday Football League in Kent and are recent winners of the Val Helen Division One League Cup. Playing in the football team is the brother of Crawfords’ dedicated Kent-based Isuzu Technician.
For the Essex-based club, Woodham Radars FC
, Crawfords has taken the role as the primary sponsor of the Under 17s team – the Rockets – who play in the Chelmsford Youth Football League. Managing Director of Crawfords, Wes Crawford, also has a close personal relation within the youth team.
As for the Sussex-based club, Billinghurst FC
, their sponsorship has been directed towards the third team that plays in the Brickability West Sussex Football League Division 2 North. With the club’s home ground only a short walk down the road from the Sussex Crawfords branch, it is no surprise that the site has strong ties with Billinghurst FC.
“Our multiple partnerships with these clubs is really exciting,” explained Hannah Kelsey, group marketing manager at Crawfords. “Sponsoring different teams of different levels allows us to give something back to the local community through supporting non-league football. This falls in line with the recent announcement regarding Isuzu UK’s title sponsorship of England’s two leading non-league competitions. We are proud to sponsor these clubs and look forward to a great 2022/23 season!”
