As the commercial world emerges from its coronavirus-created slumber, Mercedes-Benz is hoping some impressive finance offers will speed up recovery and get buyers into its X-Class double-cab pickup truck.

Those keen to get behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz X-Class can have one on the drive for £250 a month. This is for a 36-month contract hire agreement, with a £2,924 deposit. For that, you’ll get the keys to an X250d Progressive and a 10,000-mile allowance each year.

The top of the range X350d V6 Power is available on a similar deal, but with a deposit of £3,841 and monthly payments of £370. As these are for business users, the rates don’t include VAT.

Mercedes-Benz X-Class offers include the V6 model

For those opting for PCP or hire purchase options, Mercedes-Benz has launched a customer cashback programme to support businesses who are returning to work from the recent trading situation. On certain products, customers will be eligible for six months cashback across the range, calculated using the customer’s monthly instalment. For example, a monthly payment of £300 over six months would result in cashback of £1,800.

While the X-Class ultimately might not be the most versatile pickup, it’s got a long load bay at 1,587mm, can return up to 37.7mpg for the 250d model, and the V6 powered option can power to 62mph in just 7.9 seconds. Independent rear suspension means it’s also amongst the more refined models on the road.

X-Class offers include all models

It can take up to 1,122kg of payload, and all models can tow up to 3.5 tonnes, but a gross vehicle weight of 6,130kg means it can’t manage both at the same time. Push it to the max, and you’re left with a maximum of just 462kg to cover your passengers and any load in the rear box.
