After rebranding from SsangYong to KGM, the Korean manufacturer has launched a new website for its UK customers — but it’s far more than simply a digital brochure.

As well as providing buyers with information for all models, as well as services, configuration, test drive requests, financing, trade-in valuations and used cars, KGM will also launch a new “customer zone” on the site.

Customers will have access to information about their vehicle, such as service history, and will be able to view vehicle details, update communication preferences, and see maintenance schedules and owner manuals within the zone. They will also be able to request a service or contact KGM customer services through the tool.

“Our new website is the key element in our new digital strategy. The objective is to provide an even better service to our customers through more efficient communications,” explains Kevin Griffin, managing director at KGM Motors UK. “To a very large extent, we are taking our orientation from people’s media usage behaviour, which is always evolving. We need to keep up with the rapid rise in customer demand for more digital experiences whilst continuing to deliver excellent customer service.”

Vanessa Cox, communications director at KGM Motors UK, added: “Launching a new corporate identity and brand name change is an exciting opportunity for us. In conjunction with the global corporate identity changes, we have developed a new website, including a customer zone, which will contribute to the fundamental stepping stones for future growth.

“With our new digital platform, we have created for the first time a central gateway to the world of KGM, which will pool all the content for the brand. The website and KGM customer zone are strongly data driven, which means that we can create user journeys based on the specific interests and needs of each individual user.”
