Citroen has confirmed to Professional Van that it will introduce a commercial version of its all-electric e-C3 supermini, offering a budget-friendly option for businesses needing a compact urban delivery vehicle. With the Ford Fiesta Van discontinued, the e-C3 Van will fill a gap in the market, competing with the Dacia Spring Cargo and sitting below the E-Berlingo in Citroen’s line-up.

The e-C3 Van will be built to N1 classification and powered by a 44kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 199 miles, matching the hatchback version. Charging will be possible at up to 100kW, allowing a 20–80% charge in under half an hour, with an onboard 7.6kW charger for slower charging options at home or on-site.

As a car-derived van, the e-C3 will have its rear seats replaced with a flat load floor, a mesh bulkhead, and blanked-out rear windows. Payload capacity is expected to be around half a tonne, with a load volume of 1.3m³. It will also carry over key interior features from the passenger car, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a DAB radio, Bluetooth, and Citroen’s Advanced Comfort seats.

Power will come from a 113hp front-mounted motor, offering a 0-62mph time of 10.4 seconds and a top speed of 84mph, making it well-suited for urban deliveries and light-duty tasks.

Citroen e-C3 Van pricing and availability

The Citroen e-C3 Van is expected to be priced slightly above the Dacia Spring Cargo, likely around £17,500 before VAT. It will qualify for the government’s £2,500 plug-in van grant, helping to bring costs down.

Orders will open by the end of April, with first customer deliveries anticipated in the summer.
