Isuzu recognised Andy Lambert as the Farm Worker of the Year at the British Farming Awards 2024, held on October 17. Lambert, who has worked closely with Robert and Wendy Phillip at Hellifield Highland Fold, was honoured for his unwavering dedication to his role, helping not only his own operation but supporting his neighbours’ business as well. Known for his commitment to farming, Lambert impressed judges and earned praise as someone who “lives and breathes farming life.”

Since 2018, Isuzu UK has sponsored the Farm Worker of the Year Award, celebrating individuals whose commitment, dedication, and expertise make a meaningful impact in the field. This year’s awards event saw George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, present the award to Lambert.

“The British Farming Awards provide farmers with the recognition that they absolutely deserve, and it was a privilege to announce the winner of this year’s Farm Worker of the Year Award,” said Wallis. “On behalf of Isuzu UK, we would like to congratulate Andy for his hard work, dedication and success!”

Beyond the awards, Isuzu UK contributed to the evening’s charity efforts, donating £2,050 to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which supports research on motor neuron disease (MND). The donation was part of a charity auction where Isuzu won concert tickets, with proceeds aiding MND research.

“We would like to thank Isuzu UK for donating £2,050 to help combat motor neuron disease. The charity auction saw Isuzu generously bid for two tickets for any concert at bp pulse LIVE or the National Exhibition Centre,” added director of fundraising and communications at My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, Paul Thompson.

The British Farming Awards event provided a valuable moment of recognition for British farmers and farm workers, highlighting achievements and contributions across the industry.
