Volkswagen has opened UK order books for the updated Caddy Cargo, with prices starting from £26,145 excluding VAT, with first customer deliveries expected this month.
The announcement fills in the main gaps left when the lightly facelifted van entered production in September, confirming the UK model range, prices and arrival date.
Buyers will be offered a choice of a 102hp 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with a six-speed manual gearbox or the 150hp Caddy Cargo eHybrid plug-in hybrid, equipped with a six-speed DSG transmission.
Both powertrains are available with standard or Maxi wheelbases and across Commerce, Commerce Plus and Commerce Pro trim levels.
| Version | SWB Diesel | Maxi Diesel | SWB eHybrid | Maxi eHybrid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Commerce | £26,145 | £27,520 | £29,045 | £30,420 |
| Commerce Plus | £26,920 | £28,295 | £29,820 | £31,195 |
| Commerce Pro | £28,565 | £29,940 | £31,465 | £32,840 |
The eHybrid costs £2,900 more than the equivalent diesel model. Its 1.5-litre petrol engine and electric motor produce a combined 150hp, while a 19.7kWh battery provides an electric range of up to 76 miles.
Updated technology as standard
The changes remain relatively modest, with Volkswagen concentrating on the Caddy’s cabin technology rather than introducing major mechanical revisions.

Every version now gets a 12.9-inch infotainment display, Digital Cockpit Pro instruments and a 25W wireless phone charger as standard. USB-C charging output has also been increased, with an additional connection fitted to the dashboard.
The previously unilluminated touch-sensitive temperature slider beneath the central display now lights up — making it less frustrating at night — while revised trim materials and seat fabrics complete the cabin changes. The Travel Assist suite of driver aids has also been updated with assisted lane-changing functionality and revisions to Emergency Assist.
Outside, there’s a reshaped front bumper, new wheel designs and four additional metallic colours.

Commerce and Commerce Plus models have 16-inch steel wheels as standard, while the range-topping Commerce Pro gets 17-inch Amsterdam alloy wheels.
The updated van also comes with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ 5+ Promise at no extra cost. This includes five scheduled services, three MOT tests, five years of roadside assistance and a five-year or 124,000-mile warranty.
