Toyota will be exhibiting a range of electrified vans at UK Construction Week, taking place at ExCel London from 7 to 9 May. The display will include the Proace Electric and Proace City Electric vans, as well as the hybrid-powered Corolla Commercial. Toyota’s new Prius plug-in hybrid car will also be present to appeal to site managers and specialists.

The event offers Toyota an opportunity to highlight its multi-powertrain approach, focusing on electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options for light commercial vehicle (LCV) users.

Proace City Electric

The Proace City Electric shares similar features with the Proace Electric but in a smaller footprint. Available in two body lengths, it offers up to 4.4m³ of load volume and a maximum payload of 759kg. It also benefits from the Smart Cargo system.

Both Proace Electric models now feature an updated 136hp (100kW) powertrain, delivering a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 213 miles. Fast charging at up to 100kW DC allows an 80% charge in around 30 minutes.

Proace Electric

The Proace Electric is Toyota’s battery-electric medium-sized van, available in medium and long body lengths. It offers up to 6.6m³ of load space, with additional room available through the Smart Cargo system, which allows for the transport of longer items. The maximum payload is 1,375kg.

Designed for urban use, the medium-length model has a 6.2m turning radius and a 1.92m height, making it compatible with most car parks.

Corolla Commercial

The Corolla Commercial is a hybrid-powered compact van based on the Corolla Touring Sports passenger car. Manufactured in Burnaston, Derbyshire, it replaces the rear seats with a rubber-lined 1,326-litre load area and includes a full metal bulkhead.

Standard equipment includes dual-zone air conditioning, heated front seats, and Toyota’s Safety Sense driver assistance package. The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports smartphone integration.
