Renault Trucks will use this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show to highlight its work in the specialist conversion sector, showcasing adapted versions of the Master and Trafic for different commercial roles.
Rather than a major product launch, the emphasis will be on how Renault Trucks supports customers with purpose-built vehicles developed for specific jobs, from tipper work to mobile trades use.
The centrepiece of the stand will be an E-Tech Master Red Edition L3H1 4.0-tonne electric three-way tipper with a matching toolpod. Aimed at sectors such as construction and utilities, the vehicle combines a working body with Renault’s latest electric large van platform, complete with 130kW DC charging and a claimed WLTP electric range of up to 285 miles.
Also making its debut at the show is a new Master Red Edition Exclusive L3H2, powered by a 170hp diesel engine and paired with the latest nine-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Renault Trucks is pitching this model at buyers who want a working van with a more upmarket finish, featuring silver-blue metallic paint, colour-coded bumpers, and an upgraded interior.
Completing the line-up is a Trafic L2H1 Red Edition+ fitted with a trades-focused interior conversion. Powered by a 150hp diesel engine, it has been built to show how the Trafic can be adapted for users who need onboard storage, workspace and day-to-day practicality in one package.
Grahame Neagus, head of LCV & municipal at Renault Trucks, said: “The Commercial Vehicle Show provides the perfect platform to demonstrate how Renault Trucks works with customers and bodybuilders to deliver specialist vehicles tailored to real operational needs.”
He added that Renault Trucks’ background in truck engineering and body integration puts it in a strong position to support more complex conversion work, including utility, emergency service and workshop-style vehicles.
All three vehicles on the stand will also be fitted with Geotab Vantelligence telematics, supplied through LEVL Geotab, with the system intended to provide fleet operators with more detailed vehicle and usage data.
