The new Isuzu D-Max has arrived at UK dealers, where it is now available to order with prices starting from £20,999 plus VAT.

Isuzu will continue to offer three distinct segments within the model range, with Business, All-Purpose and Adventure models appealing to a wide-ranging audience from fleet operators to families.

Isuzu D-Max: One Truck, Three Styles

The Business range features the Utility trim, with the base specification workhorse offered in a choice of 4×2 or 4×4 drive modes. Three different cab types will also be offered; single, extended and double cab.

Utility models are ideally suited to working environments with features like easily cleanable vinyl flooring and durable steel wheels, while the bumpers, door mirrors and door handles are made from hard-wearing black plastic.

The All-Purpose range consists of the DL20 and DL40, the DL moniker signifying that a rear differential lock is fitted, and gains body-coloured front and rear bumpers, bright door handles, a bold radiator grille and 18” alloy wheels. The DL20 is available as an Extended or Double Cab model, but the DL40 is a double cab only.

The Adventure range consists of just the V-Cross Double Cab at launch, which brings bold gunmetal-coloured trim to the D-Max, with a darkened radiator grille, side steps, mirrors, handles and alloy wheels.

Every model comes comprehensively equipped, with automatic headlights and high beam, automatic windscreen wipers, speed-sensitive power steering and a DAB radio.

All-Purpose models add heated front seats, rear parking sensors, front fog lights and a front centre armrest, while the DL40-spec improves further on that with LED lights all around, side steps, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and keyless entry and start.

The DL40 also sees the introduction of electrically adjustable leather seating, dual-zone climate control, and a 7.0-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The V-Cross tops the range with an upgraded 9.0-inch touchscreen, along with a CD player and eight-speaker audio system.

Isuzu D-Max: Segment-First Safety Technology

Fresh from receiving a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, the D-Max’s roster of safety technology is impressive.

All models are fitted with an automatic emergency braking system, traffic sign recognition, an intelligent speed limiter and both lane departure warning and prevention. Double cab models also receive rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot monitor and emergency lane-keeping assist.

Opt for an All-Purpose model with an automatic gearbox and there’s also adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist as standard.

Isuzu D-Max: Pricing and Availability

Prices start at £20,999 plus VAT for the Utility model, representing an increase of around £3,000 over the current model. The cheapest double cab, the Utility 4×4, is available at £24,499 plus VAT, while the range-topping V-Cross Double Cab Auto comes in at £32,749 plus VAT.
