Ford Performance Parts unveiled its custom concept packages at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) packages, expected to be available in 2024, demonstrate the potential for Ford Ranger owners to personalise their vehicles based on their preferences and needs.
“Ford customers love to personalise the performance and appearance of their vehicles, especially Mustang, Bronco and Ranger,” said Mark Wilson, Ford North America Vehicle Personalization manager. “The Ford Performance parts packages we’re debuting combine the latest design trends with aftermarket accessories engineered to work with these vehicles out of the box.”
Ford Performance ORV Packages for Ranger
A highlight of the initiative is the Ford Performance Off-Road Vehicle concept package, which aims to enhance the off-roading prowess of Ford’s trucks and SUVs, including the Ranger pickup.
Designed specifically for overlanding, this package will be available for the 2024 US-market Ranger XLT and Lariat models with four-wheel drive. Key features include an ARB overland suspension kit, ARB front and rear bumpers equipped with additional recovery points, an onboard air compressor, SOLIS lighting, and a 45-litre refrigerator/freezer.
Enhanced Custom Vinyl Wraps for F-150
Ford has a history of providing vehicle wraps and graphics and is now expanding its offering to include vinyl wraps in 60 colours and three finishes: gloss, satin, and matte. This will be facilitated through a new initiative called, a little unimaginatively, Ford Vinyl Wraps. Ford’s engineering teams developed specialised installation techniques, ensuring that vehicle sensors and driver assist functions remain operational. Installation will be handled by a vetted network of professional wrap installers, aiming for a swift turnaround of under two weeks post-ordering, with vehicles typically being customised within a few days. Initially launching in Michigan, Florida, Texas, and California, the program will cater to new F-150 pickups, as well as Mustang, Bronco, and Explorer models.
Bronco ORV Package
Ford Performance is also making ORV packages available for select Bronco SUV models, with unique features like a 2.0-inch suspension lift, white 17-inch wheels with 35-inch tyres, and special engine software. Options include a high-clearance Borla cat-back exhaust, an ARB jack and mount, and an underhood compressor. Ford allows owners to customise their Broncos. The Bronco Sport Free Wheeling offers sunset-themed accents, while the Blue Free Wheeling showcases diverse looks inspired by Fords of the 1970s. A beach-ready personalisation package adds upgrades like a suspension lift, open-air roof, and beach-themed aesthetics.
Availability
The new packs and graphics will be available to customers in 2024, but there are no plans to extend availability to the UK.
