Fisker, the California-based electric vehicle maker, has unveiled its future vehicle lineup to a crowd of investors, analysts, employees, and media, with the company’s CEO, Henrik Fisker, on hand to introduce the newest addition to its range: the Fisker Alaska, an all-electric pickup truck.
Built on an extended version of the Fisker Ocean’s FT31 platform, the Alaska seeks to merge versatility and power. It allows for various cargo configurations, including an extendable cargo bed ranging from around 1.4 to 2.8 metres, with a retractable bed divider connecting the cargo bed and rear cabin that slides down to create a load-through area.

First hinted at in August 2020, the Fisker Alaska borrows from the design principles of the Ocean, with an emphasis on lightweight construction and sustainability. The company states that the Alaska is designed to be the lightest electric pickup in the market, helping it achieve a projected range of 230-340 miles from a full charge of its batteries.
Beyond the product announcements, the company discussed its commitment to corporate responsibility through its Environmental, Social, and Governance objectives. Fisker has its sights set on being the world’s most sustainable carmaker and claims the Alaska will be “the world’s most sustainable truck”.

Following the event, Fisker began taking reservations for the Alaska
, with deposits of just $250 (£200/€230) required for the $45,400 (£35,750/€41,500) vehicle. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2025.
