Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched Connect Pro, a new telematics platform designed to help fleet operators monitor vehicles in real time and reduce downtime.
Available across Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles models from 2021 onwards, including the Caddy, ID Buzz and Transporter, the system is aimed at fleets of all sizes and can also support mixed fleets through a single web-based platform.
Connect Pro gives fleet managers access to live vehicle location, route history, fuel consumption or battery state of charge, warning messages and maintenance requirements. The platform also allows users to book online service appointments with a Volkswagen Van Centre.

Volkswagen says the idea is to give operators better oversight of vehicle use and condition, while also reducing the need for unnecessary dealer visits and helping keep vehicles on the road for longer. Over-the-air updates are also supported where applicable.
Rob Holdcroft, head of sales at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “Running an efficient, cost-effective fleet is crucial to maintaining a profitable business, which is why we make it our mission to provide solutions that deliver real impact to our customers. Our new telematics system is designed to increase productivity, reducing driver downtime and optimising fleet productivity so that businesses can get back to what really matters.”
Connect Pro sits alongside Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ wider 5+ Promise aftersales package, which includes servicing, roadside assistance and a five-year warranty.
