A Bigger, Bolder D-Max: Isuzu Unveils Arctic Trucks AT37 Pickup • Professional Van

Isuzu has shown off a rugged go-anywhere concept for its D-Max pickup, taking the popular Arctic Trucks AT35 version and making it bigger and bolder to create the AT37.

More than just a slightly larger number, the AT37 benefits from an adjustable Arctic Trucks Bilstein performance suspension system with 10 different settings, upgraded front and rear differentials, additional front and rear elevation increases, and enormous 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 Mud-Terrain tyres. All told it stands 140mm taller than a regular D-Max.

As with the existing AT35 model, the concept AT37 receives extensive re-engineering by the experts at Arctic Trucks, from a reinforced frame to widened fender flares and extended profile side steps.

Presented at the Commercial Vehicle Show, Isuzu added front spotlights, a winch, a canopy, a storage box with sliding drawers for the load bay, and an expedition roof rack complete with a pop-up tent.

Isuzu describes the AT37, rather breathlessly, as “the most imposing vehicle ever crafted by Isuzu,” “a new zenith in the D-Max line-up,” and a vehicle that “promises to redefine the boundaries of what’s possible on and off the road.” Despite that, there are no plans to put the AT37 into production, despite the success of the D-Max AT35.
