Mercedes has introduced a new Sport-X version of the Vito, bringing more aggressive styling, extra equipment and a more upmarket interior to the Crew van range.
The UK-exclusive model will sit above the existing Vito Select when orders open in September, with prices starting from £56,995 excluding VAT. It’s been created as part of Mercedes-Benz Vans’ 130th anniversary celebrations.

Available initially in L2 and L3 Crew van forms, the Vito Sport-X uses Mercedes’ 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 190hp and 440Nm of torque, paired with the nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox.
Mercedes quotes a 0-62mph time of 10 seconds, while combined fuel economy is up to 38.7mpg.

The mechanical changes are limited, with Sport-X instead concentrating on appearance and equipment.
There’s a redesigned front bumper incorporating a splitter, a new grille, side skirts, rear spoiler and gloss black detailing, together with Sport-X graphics and 19-inch diamond-cut black alloy wheels.
Alpine Grey is the standard colour, although Arctic White and six metallic finishes are also available.

Sportier Vito gets two-seat front layout
There are more significant changes inside. Rather than the three-seat front bench fitted to regular Vito Pro and Select Crew vans, the Sport-X gets two individual sports seats with integrated headrests and redesigned bolsters.
Black eco-leather and dark grey suede upholstery is joined by orange contrast stitching, while heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging and additional centre-console storage are standard.

It retains the equipment offered on the Vito Select, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning, a reversing camera and a range of driver assistance systems including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
Still a working van
Despite its more lifestyle-focused appearance, the Sport-X remains reasonably useful as a working vehicle.
The five-seat L2 version has a 556kg payload and 3.6m3 load volume, while the longer L3 increases those figures to 733kg and 4.1m3 respectively.
The rear bench can also be removed when extra load space is needed. Standard towing capacity is 2,000kg, with a 2,500kg option available.

The Mercedes Vito Sport-X will be available to order from September 2026, priced from £56,995 excluding VAT.
