Isuzu has signed on as the headline sponsor for the first-ever Rik Mayall Comedy Festival, set to take place in Droitwich Spa from 31 May to 7 June 2025. The festival pays tribute to the legendary comedian, marking a decade since his passing, and promises a week of stand-up, plays, and sketches celebrating both established and up-and-coming comedic talent.

The event will have particular significance for Droitwich, as Mayall spent his early years in the town and maintained close ties throughout his life. The Norbury Theatre played a role in his formative years and will be at the heart of the festival’s programming.

Organisers hope the festival will involve local businesses in a broader celebration, turning the town into a hub of comedy for the week. Isuzu’s support, they say, is a great fit given the brand’s history of light-hearted and humorous advertising campaigns.
