Scottish Water has ordered over 100 Fiat vans as part of its vehicle replacement program, including 69 Fiat Doblo, 39 Fiat E-Doblo, and three Fiat E-Scudo. With more than a third of the vans powered by electricity, the purchase supports the company’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2040.

The vans have been modified to meet operational needs, with features like fridges for water samples, pipe racks, tow bars, hand wash stations, lockers, and heaters to ensure staff can work effectively in all weather conditions.

Some of the electric Fiat vans are already in use, covering over 100 miles daily. The E-Scudo and E-Doblo offer a manufacturer-quoted range of up to 217 and 205 miles, respectively, and can charge to 80% in 30 minutes with a 100kw rapid charger.
